Updates, Updates, Updates
In the last few months we have had much going on. The holidays were good and fairly low key. In January my dad and brother put up new chicken wire around the chicken coop to keep the little buggers in. They were pooping all under the carport since winter started (the chickens not my dad and brother.) I cleaned up and pressure washed the place to prepare for Gabre's Birthday. Speaking of which I added new photo's of the birthday party which was actually held on her Birthday. She had a blast. Many thanks to all of those who came out and thanks for the presents. I also picked up a grain Silo off Craigslist and plan to fix it up a bit and become buying my chicken feed in bulk. I also will have 40 more chickens after they all hatch (putting me up to 58.) My dad is also getting fertilized geese eggs to have hatched. We plan to eat all of the males chickens and all of the geese. I have also been pruning apple trees. I would like to top a couple pair trees too this weekend. Don't know if I will get that far.
At work I have been preparing for Sabbatical. My employer gives me 8 weeks straight off every 7 years. Woo Hoo. I'm scheduled for July 4th through Sept 3rd at this time. Should be a blast even though I'm not going too far. I plan to clear out some blackberries and build Gabre a Treehouse with activity areas. Hope to talk to you all soon and wish you the best.
